
Installing the 3D Wonder 3D Desktop
Getting 3D Wonder 3D Desktop
3D Wonder 3D Desktop can be downloaded from http://www.3DWonder.com,
purchase directly from the developer site http://www.3DWonder.com/order or
purchased at your local PC Software store.
Installing from CD
1. Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive
2. Start-up should start automatically if it does not double click on the My Computer
icon then double click on the CD/DVD-ROM drive icon.
3. Double click on the 3D Wonder Setup file (3Dwonder_setup.exe)
4. Follow the on-screen installation instructions
Installing Downloaded version
1. Double click on the My Computer icon.
2. Locate the location of the 3Dwonder_setup.exe file.
3. Double click on the 3D Wonder Setup file (3Dwonder_setup.exe)
4. Follow the on-screen installation instructions
Uninstalling 3D Wonder 3D Desktop
Make sure that the 3D Wonder 3D Desktop is not running.
Follow these steps to properly and completely the uninstall 3D Wonder.
1. Click on the Start button
2. Click on Settings
3. Open “Control Panel”
4. Double click on Add/Remove Programs
5. High light 3D Wonder
6. Click on Uninstall
7. Follow the on-screen instructions
Note: 3D Wonder does not have any ad-ware or spy-ware software.
Using the 3D Wonder 3D Desktop
Starting 3D Wonder 3D Desktop
To Start 3D Wonder 3D Desktop follow theses steps:
1. Click on Start button
2. Click on Programs
3. Click on 3D Wonder container
4. Click on 3D Wonder
Note: Depending on the speed of your system the start process can take anywhere from 1 to 20 seconds
Exiting 3D Wonder 3D Desktop
To Exit the 3D Wonder 3D Desktop follow theses steps:
1. Right click on 3D Wonder icon in the system tray and click on Exit or
2. Right click anywhere on 3D Wonder 3D Desktop and click on Exit.
iCube Icon Manager
iCube is a three dimensional Cube floating on your desktop. You can keep all
of
your icons and folder on each side of the cube for quick access just like
the original
Windows Desktop. iCube can keep several times more icons then
original Windows
desktop as well as it lets you use six wallpapers at the same time. On one each side
if the virtual Cube.
You can rotate the iCube with your mouse. Simply press down
(left) CTRL key and move your mouse with left button pressed down.

Using the iCube
iCube controls
1. Rotating iCube
To rotate iCube press (left) CTRL key on your keyboard and move your mouse with
left mouse button pressed as well.
2. Hiding iCube
Press CTRL+H at the same time
3. Changing iCube view from outside to inside-out
Press CTRL+I at the same time
4. Moving icons betweens side of iCube
Simply drag and drop icons from one side to another side of the iCube4 like in Windows.
Using Icons on iCube
Icons on the iCube are used in the same way as in Windows. iCube can store several times
more icons the original Windows desktop. You can also keep your favourite pictures as
wallpapers on each side of the iCube. You can easily move icons to the iCube as well as
Drag and Drop icons from side to side of the iCube.

iCube Wallpapers
You can use any of your pictures as wallpapers on the iCube

Configuring the iCube
Configuring iCube controls
iCube controls let you use 3D Wonder easily and provide very intuitive interface.
Most of the controls are customizable yet still very powerful.
All control customization options are located in the Settings Panel.
1. Right click on the 3D Wonder 3D Desktop.
2. Click on 3D Wonder Options
3. Click on Settings Tab.
Here you can configure:
Toggle iCube On/Off – hides or shows iCube
To change it click on the box and press the key or key combination you wish to use to Toggle iCube On/Off

Toggle iCube View Inside/Outside – lets you look at the iCube from outside or from inside-out.
To change it click on the box and press the key or key combination you wish to use to Toggle iCube.

“Hide/Show default Windows Icons” – Lets you show or hide default Windows Desktop Icons over
3D Wonder 3D Desktop. You can either hide default Windows icons or show then on top of 3D Wonder.
Note: showing default Windows icons will slow down 3D graphic performance.
To hide default Windows icons check that box Ok.
To show default Windows icons remove the check mark and press Ok.

"Control Key" – lets you rotate iCube. Simply press the control key and move your mouse
while left mouse button is pressed.
Select which control key you which to use: CTRL, ALT or SHIFT
Select which left, right or any CTRL/ALT/SHIFT you wish to use

Managing Icons on iCube
1. Right click on any icon/files/folder (while 3D Wonder is running) and point on Icon Manager then select
the side you wish to copy this item to.
Note: Some system icons like My Computer, Outlook, My Documents will not have the Icon Manager menu.
You will need to copy shortcuts of these icons to the iCube.
2. Simply open “C:\Documents and Settings\% your user name% \Application Data\Gamers Tower\3D Wonder\Desktops”
(folder names 1 though 6 correspond to each side of the iCube.)
3. Press CTRL key on your keyboard and drag My Computer icon to folder C:\Documents and Settings\% your user name%\
\Application Data\Gamers Tower\3D Wonder\Desktops\1 this will put My Computer on the front side of the iCube

Changing Wallpapers on iCube
1. Right click on the side of the iCube, which you wish to change wallpaper on.
2. Click on iCube Options
3. Browse and select and highlight the picture files, which you want to display on this side and click Open.
(Gif, Jpg, Bmp, Ico, Emf, Wmf are Accepted)
4. Select the resolution and Position of the wallpaper
5. Click Ok.


Changing iCube view
Press (default) CTRL+I to toggle iCube view from outside to inside-out.






Troubleshooting
The performance and problems when using 3D Wonder 3D Desktop depend on
the abilities of your computer to run 3D applications. Some basic things that you
can do to improve the general performance of your PC is to upgrade to the latest
version of Direct X (version 9.0c is required), perform all system updates which
are available from Microsoft and run fewer applications at the same time. Other
upgrades to consider is upgrading your video card (nVidia or ATI 32Mb Direct X 9.0
compatible video card is required), CPU and amount of system memory “RAM”
(at least 256Mb is required).
Updating Windows:
Click on Start button
Click on Windows Update
Click on Product Updates
Follow the instructions to update your system.
You should select and install all updates available for your system.
List of Known issues:
Some older video cards which do not support Direct X 9.0c may show artefacts or no 3D.
Resolution: Update video card drivers and Direct X or install new Video card.
3D Wonder is not started or blank screen is displayed when login in via Windows XP Remote Control.
Cause: Windows XP Remote Desktop control does not support any 3D graphics, which results in 3D Wonder failing to start.
Resolution: Disable 3D Wonder when remotely controlling using XP Remote Control.
3D Wonder restarts when launching other 3D Programs or Games.
Cause: Direct X is designed in such a way that it can run only one 3D program in full screen.
Resolution: This is expected behaviour due to Direct X features. No resolution available.
3D Wonder restarts when “Unlocking” PC after CTRL+ALT+DEL lock.
Cause: Direct X is designed in such a way that it closing all 3D programs running in full screen when doing CTRL+ALT+DEL lock.
Resolution: This is expected behaviour due to Direct X features. No resolution available.
